Global Parameters
The parameters that are common to all the hosts that are to be served are included within this section. This section usually contains most of the options statements for the network. Some 62 total options exist; however, a few of them are not specified in the configuration file, even though they are used by the DHCP server. That leaves more than 48 configurable options, not counting vendor-specific extensions. For most, the order does not matter—but for a few it does. For example, netmask must come before routers.
The options are normally given in the configuration file by name, but the configuration numbers can also be used, if they are known. Options that specify IP addresses might also specify hostnames, if those hostnames ...
