I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
DNS and DHCP
Throughout the text, examples using DNS or other types of resolution have been used for many parameters. However, for pure DHCP clients, DNS resolution becomes a problem. Because the addresses that can be given to any one client cannot be foreseen, they cannot be entered into the DNS table. Several solutions to this problem are being worked on. Some commercial DNS packages that can merge information from the dhcp.leases file into the database are available. But the DNS package that is currently offered in Linux and the DHCP server do not presently talk to each other.
