Installing GNOME

Most major Linux distributions include GNOME automatically when you install them. If you use a distribution that does not include GNOME by default, or if you simply want to upgrade to a later version, installing the latest version is incredibly easy, thanks to Helix Code (http://www.helixcode.com).

Helix Code is a for-profit company focused on improving GNOME and providing fee-based support and development. The company has built a very easy-to-use installer, and is currently hard at work on the Evolution (email/calendaring) and Gnumeric (spreadsheet) open-source projects.
