It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
JAMES FOWLER: STAGES OF FAITH
Fowler’s seminal work (1981) on the stages of development of faith offers a model that might be helpful in understanding a client’s experience. Fowler’s research indicates that an individual’s faith might go through as many as six stages. Stage I, Intuitive-Projective Faith, refers to children between the ages of three and seven and is not relevant to a coaching application. What follows is a description of stages II through VI.
Stage II—Mythic-Literal Faith. At this stage—common to younger school-age children, but also found in some adolescents and adults—the person begins to take on the beliefs, stories, moral rules, and attitudes of people around him in a literal and one-dimensional way. The logical mind begins ...
