FIVE AI PRINCIPLES
As a philosophy, AI involves five core principles that are woven together and support one another in guiding change away from problem solving and toward an appreciative outlook.
1. The constructionist principle states that how humans communicate, interact, create symbols, and construct metaphors with one another creates social reality. Thus social knowledge and destiny are intertwined. What people know about themselves and how they know it are fateful or full of destiny because these are the only ways individuals know how to understand and relate to themselves, their past, and their potential for the future (Chaffee, 2004).
