Creating and configuring virtual hard disks (VHDs) (2.5.2)
To create a virtual hard disk (VHD) with Hyper-V Manager in Windows Server 2016, complete the following steps:
- In the Actions pane, click New, and then click Hard Disk as shown in Figure 6.6:

- Click Next in the Before You Begin option of the New Virtual Hard Disk Wizard.
- Select the format that you want to use for the virtual hard disk, and then click Next.
