Performance counters (5.2.7)
In Performance Monitor, you can use counters and instances of selected objects to collect data for the server hardware that you are keeping your eye on. Counters provide performance information on how well an operating system, application, service, or driver is working. Objects have counters to measure different aspects of performance, where each object has at least one instance that represents a unique copy of a particular type of object. That way you are able to determine your server's bottlenecks and are able to react in a timely manner to avoid further degradations of server performance.
