I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Troubleshooting procedures (6.4.2)
No matter how skillful you might be, know that troubleshooting is a skill that relies on certain guidelines. It requires an organized and logical approach to problems with servers in particular, and computer networks in general. The procedures that you may want to consider when involved in troubleshooting are as follows:
- You may want to consider checking the documentation if the problem has happened in the past
- You may want to check any available logs including the Event Viewer
- You may want to consider searching the Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) articles
- You may want to consider running a backup prior to testing solutions
- You may want to consider running diagnostics programs
