So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

It often happens that, when Windows is mentioned, the listener immediately thinks of Windows Explorer. Does this happen to you? If so, then it has to do with the fact that Windows is very easy when storing and organizing data on the computer, on the computer's hard disk to be precise. All that is the result of the filesystem that Windows is using. With the following list, you will become familiar with the well-known filesystems used by Windows.
- File Allocation Table (FAT): This is the earliest filesystem and was used by both MS-DOS and Windows. As the name implies, it is based on a table that contains a map of clusters. The cluster is the unit of logical storage on the hard disk. FAT32 is the latest version of FAT.
