It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Mostly, on Windows-based servers, Windows Update is responsible for updating Microsoft OSs, applications, and utilities. Also, earlier in this chapter, we have explained that software from vendors other than Microsoft is unique in the way it is updated. In that case, we will show you how to update a third-party application (Adobe Reader X) on Windows Server 2016. The steps are as follows:
- Open Adobe Reader from the Start menu.
- In the Help menu, select Check for Updates...
- Shortly, the Adobe Reader Updater displays that an update is available for download.
- Click the Download button.
- The icon in the System Tray silently downloads the update.
