When you attach an unallocated partition to a blank folder, you have a mount point. This helps you to increase the size of your folder if the partition where you have created the folder is running out of space. In Windows Server 2016, you can use Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc) to create a mount point, as shown in Figure 8.11:
