So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Managing virtual memory (2.5.3)
Keep in mind that virtual memory management is performed for every virtual machine, thus it is required that VMs be turned off prior to setting up memory settings. To manage virtual memory with Hyper-V Manager in Windows Server 2016, complete the following steps:
- Right-click the inactive virtual machine, and then select Settings as shown in Figure 6.7:

- In the left pane, under Hardware, click Memory.
- You have the option to set a fixed or dynamic amount of memory (see Figure 6.8):
