Types of shapes

As I mentioned in the previous section, we can have different kinds of shapes, and we can create endless different shapes and communication visually with them.

Here, we will cover a few types, as follows:

• Geometric, organic, and abstract shapes
• Positive and negative shapes

The two main categories of shapes that are well-known are the geometric shapes and organic ones, which are also known as freeform shapes.

In the group of geometric shapes, we have circles, squares, rectangles, and spiral shapes. Also, other shapes included in geometric shapes are stars, polygons, arrows, and ellipses.
