Identifying who we want to talk to

After we identify what information we want to get from the users, we can identify the people who will be able to provide that information. We have to identify whether our product's customers are existing ones or new ones.

For individual interviews, we usually will need 6-10 participants, because we want to get as much insight as we can from different people.

Compared to the user-test method, during the individual interview it is suggested that you look for people who can be your potential customers and not those who are already using your product.

To find these kinds of participant, we can search inside our network to try find someone similar. There are other ways as well, such as paying a third-party recruitment ...
