Balance

The balance design principle is used for giving form and stability to our visual design. It means that elements that we have on our visual design should be of the same size, color, and shape, and they need to be distributed properly and evenly across the entire visual design that we are creating.

Balance can be divided into three groups: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial.

Symmetrical balance means that we need to weight the elements on our visual design evenly. So, each side of the design should have the same weight of elements.

With asymmetrical balance, we can use contrast to even our design elements, for example, if we have dark elements on our design, they should be balanced by light ones.
