Defining the problems

Once we validate all the issues and have a clear picture of which of them are a high priority, we can start improving the product by fixing them. However, this doesn't mean that we stop the research process. As I mentioned early on this chapter, good research is research that is conducted early and often on every phase of the product development, as needed.

A user-centered design is an iterative process in which we do the following steps:

  1. Analyze the context of use
  2. Specify requirements
  3. Come up with a design solution
  4. Evaluate this solution with our users

If our design doesn't satisfy the specified requirements, we go back and change it. This will be an on-going process till we get the results that we want for our users. ...
