Designing for behavioral change is really hard. We can see this happening daily, not just for our users or other people, but also for ourselves. Just think about how many product subscriptions we have currently that we are not using, how many to-do tasks we have for weeks that we do not finish, or how many times in a year we have been to the gym even though we paid a yearly membership for it.
All these things – unused product subscriptions, a gym membership, financial plans to save more, and our decision to eat healthily – never come to fruition. Even though we have a number of great services or products available to help us in that direction, most of the time it is not enough for us to take action. ...
