Code upgrade
The code upgrade tool helps you plan your upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition by analyzing code artifacts from the prior versions of Finance and Operations or Dynamics AX 2012.
It can also be just run for estimations, so as to receive an analysis reports. When only the estimation is used, then the exported and upgraded models will not be checked in to Visual Studio Team Services and will not be available for download.
There are brief steps when upgrading from Dynamics AX 2012:
- Create an upgrade analysis job (the task you are performing now).
- Export your AX 2012 model store.
- Zip (compress) the model store file.
