Validation and final cutover 

After you are done with the code upgrade and multiple rounds of test data upgrade, it is time for validation and final cutover. Validation of the data upgrade project goes through the regular process of system testing, integration testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing, including training just like an implementation project. Chapter 11, Testing and Training in this book covers these topics in great detail. In addition to this, data upgrade needs to be tested thoroughly to ensure that new data matches with old data and business transactions can be performed in the new system using migrated data.
