The need for reporting in predefined formats, taking document printouts and transactional details is never expected to go out of demand.
Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition utilizes SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)-hosted Azure compute service. This service runs in the Azure compute emulator together with the application server. Therefore, there are no SSRS service administration prerequisites.
The process of running a report is as simple as clicking a link, providing parameters and filters, and running it. The reports could also be scheduled to run at periodic intervals. One can also decide the format of the report output.
