So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Sub-processes
A sub-process is a level in a business process for each individual business process function. Detailing of business functions starts from this level. It comprises one or many connected requirements to be able to perform a particular set of activities.
Sub-processes help in visualizing inter-dependencies within a business process and have links to other processes.
Each sub-process must constitute all the grouped functions within it. For example, in order to cash a business process, the following sub-processes should typically be covered:
- Order intake
- Order processing
- Order release and credit checks
- Product and service sales
- Pricing and term agreements
- Consignments
- Picking, packing, and shipping
- Customer invoicing
- Customer payments ...
