So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Defining field mapping
Defining field-level mapping for each integration point includes data type, field length, applicable values, and validation logic for each field. This mapping helps you identify mapping requirement between the system to address any data type, field length, and restrictions. The ensuing table shows customer integration between Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition and an e-commerce application as an example:
