This scenario applies to customers who are currently living on an earlier release and want to perform a full upgrade to the most recent platform and application versions. The Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations application consists of binaries of application components, such as SSRS, management reporter, and X++ metadata for application modules, such as AR and AP. Application updates are released two times in the year, namely Spring and Fall release, where Microsoft releases any major functionalities.
