I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
In this chapter, we began with understanding the architecture and new development concepts. Developer experience is completely changed, Visual studio is new development environment, X++ has become managed language and fully compile into CIL just like C#. Extensions is new customization, overlayering is still possible but going to be eliminated soon. Development is done now in pre-configured VMs, you can deploy a development environment in the cloud or download a VHD and do development on-premise.
