• Before using this as a reinforcement exercise, you might want to ask partici-

pants to talk about what factors influence group planning, decision making,

communicating, or using resources effectively. List these factors on a white-

board or flipchart and ask the participants to keep them in mind when doing the

exercise. Use them to stimulate discussion when construction is complete.

• Another variation is to assign specific roles to the team members such as team

leader, chief designer, cost estimator, efficiency expert, construction super-
