SUMMARY
This chapter has tied together several individual pieces of the VoIP puzzle from the perspective of the physical and data link layers of the layered model. It can be seen that VoIP has many supporting elements, interfaces, and protocols. It is time to turn our attention to more of those supporting systems, But first, we pause and examine some performance considerations for VoIP applications.
