H.245

I made a few comments about H.245 earlier. Its purpose is to specify the syntax of terminal information messages and the procedures to use those messages. It is a "generic" protocol in that it is used by H.222.0, H.223, and H.225.0.

H.245 provides some features that are similar to RTCP, such as the calculation of RTT between two terminals. However, the H Series recommendations provide no guidance on how to (or how not to) interwork H.245 and RTCP. The recommendations contain "informative" appendices describing RTCP but (unfortunately) not in relation to the H Series operations.
