Call Agents use configuration databases to keep track of trunk groups and circuits within the trunk. We just learned that the Gateway is identified by a domain name. In addition, each physical interface is also identified by a name. The physical circuit is further identified by a circuit member, which is concatenated to the name to identify unambiguously a specific circuit.
Each call that is managed by the Call Agent must be identified with a name, which is created by the Call Agent.
