DIAMETER
DIAMETER is used in VoIP Gatekeepers and Call Agents. It has been created to define common formats for security messages. It is considered by some to be a successor to RADIUS. The DIAMETER protocol defines these formats in a header, followed by objects. The objects are known as Attribute-Value-Pair (AVP). The Internet draft for DIAMETER is [CALH98a].[4]
