So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Exporting to Cloud Storage
Exporting logs to Cloud Storage is ideal when logs must be retained long-term for purposes such as auditing, or when the logs need to be processed offline by other systems such as Cloud Dataprep or the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) API.
Let's create a new Cloud Storage sink from within the Cloud Console Log Viewer. First, enter the preceding filter into the Logs Viewer filter input, replacing <PROJECT_ID> with your GCP Project ID. Click CREATE EXPORT to open the Edit Export dialog. Here, provide the following values:
- Sink name: todo-logs-gcs
- Sink Destination: Cloud Storage
- Sink Destination: Either select an existing bucket, or create a new one
