I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Standard machine types
The standard machine types provide a balanced ratio of 3.75 GB of RAM per vCPU, making them ideal for many general applications. The smallest standard machine type is n1-standard-1, with 1 vCPU core and 3.75 GB of RAM. Standard machine types increase in steps, doubling both vCPU and RAM from n1-standard-2 to n1-standard-64, where the trailing number represents the number of vCPUs for the given machine type. The largest standard machine type currently available is n1-standard-96, with 96 vCPUs and 360 GB of RAM, though this machine type is currently in beta.
