Cloud Deployment Manager treats deployments as discrete entities. Whereas the configuration defines a desired state for a collection of resources, the deployment represents the actual state of those resources. Developers manage cloud resources by acting on deployments, such as creating, updating, and deleting. A given configuration can be used to create multiple deployments, assuming that there are no conflicting resources between them.
