All eligible properties of a given entity are indexed by default, and queries can be performed on these entities in either ascending or descending order. Datastore achieves this by maintaining two separate index tables, an EntitiesByProperty ASC table and an EntitiesByProperty DESC table. Both of these tables contain a row for each property of each entity, and collection properties such as lists are indexed on a per-item basis. As with EntitiesByKind, these tables are automatically populated and maintained.
