It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Database engines
Cloud SQL supports both MySQL and PostgreSQL database engines.
Apart from the natural differences between feature sets of underlying database engines, there are a few significant differences between how MySQL and PostgreSQL instances can be configured and managed. These differences include the available machine configurations, performance limitations, supported administrative operations, and failover strategies. The details of these differences will be covered in their relevant sections.
