Buckets
At the highest level, all data in Cloud Storage belongs to exactly one bucket. Buckets serve two primary purposes—organizing objects at a very high level and providing a control plane over those objects for concepts such as data governance and availability. As the name implies, buckets do not inherently imply anything about the nature of the data they contain. A single bucket can be used to store static web content, media such as audio or video, database backups, or anything else. Buckets provide a mechanism for grouping objects, but do not prescribe a strategy for how those objects should be grouped.
