Object metadata
While Cloud Storage doesn't attempt to make sense of object data, users and systems will still need to make sense of the data at some point. To address this need, every object in Cloud Storage includes object metadata, which are key-value pairs that describe the data in various meaningful ways.
Some key metadata is included with an object by default, including Content-Type, Content-Encoding, Content-Disposition, Content-Language, and Cache-Control. These basic attributes go a long way in describing data, and, in many cases, Cloud Storage is able to adapt how it presents the data to clients according to these attributes.
