Cloud Storage locations
Every Cloud Storage bucket is tied to a location, which determines the set of data centers objects in that bucket may reside in. Locations can be either regional or multi-regional. Regional Storage buckets can only be created in regional locations, which at the time of writing, includes any Google Cloud region. Multi-Regional buckets must be created in one of three multi-regional locations: asia, eu, and us.
Developers do not directly control where their data is physically stored. Instead, Cloud Storage decides where to keep your data within the set of data centers that belong to the given location.
