Introduction
Since I wrote my first book ten years ago, not much has changed in the field and
concepts of continuous process improvement, quantification, and metrics.
What we need is a new paradigm—a new vision of business reality, a funda-
mental change in our approach in value delivery and management. At the begin-
nings of this change is the shift from the static to the holistic understanding of the
dynamic business processes. e approach that could lead to this paradigm shift is
the subject of this book.
