May 15For the Joy of It
Life is real! Life is earnest! / And the grave is not its goal; / Dust thou art, to dust returnest, / Was not spoken of the soul. // Not enjoyment, and not sorrow, / Is our destined end or way; / But to act, that each tomorrow / Find us farther than today.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow—Complete Poetical Works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1839)
One the great challenges of the notion of entrepreneurship is that it frequently has us striving at succeeding or failing at one thing or another when the great promise of being an entrepreneur is the joy of being able to do something precisely for the joy of it.
If we are doing what we are meant to do, then there is no winning and losing, but only progress found in living today as today.
This may be all that our soul wants of us.
