January 24Endlessly Changing
Human minds are more full of mysteries than any written book and more changeable than the cloud shapes in the air.
Louisa May Alcott—The Abbot's Ghost (1867)
As a self-reliant entrepreneur, you get to change your mind—good thing, too, because changing other people's mind is a big part of your job. Your ability to convince others that you can do the work, that you're not too young, or too new or just too different than their current solution may make or break your venture.
Be in constant discovery mode, not just because something isn't working, but because you can always make it better.
Being open to change means giving up your need to be right and listening deeply to another's point of view. You don't have to take someone's advice or change to meet someone's opinion, but listening is the catalyst for your change and growth.
Listening is how you discover amazing new ways to think about a problem. Listening is how you let others know you care. Listening is how you let others help you. Listening unlocks some of the mysteries of the human mind.
