December 2There Is No Try
I like trees because they seem more resigned to the way they have to live than other things do. I feel as if this tree knows everything I ever think of when I sit here. When I come back to it, I never have to remind it of anything; I begin just where I left off.
Willa Cather—O Pioneers! (1913)
A great deal of stress in our lives is caused by some form of not being who we were meant to be. This even includes the energy expended trying to be a loving, kind, or positive person.

Simply be who you are and practice bringing your unique gifts to the world.

Go into silence or meditation today and toss out every label you've applied to yourself—forget your job, your age, your community, your family order, and for that moment resign yourself to live as you were meant to.
