August 11Remove All Obstacles
It is not always those who have the best advantages, or the greatest talents, that eventually succeed in their undertakings; but it is those who strive with untiring diligence to remove all obstacles to success, and who, with unconquerable resolution, labour on until the rich reward of perseverance is within their grasp. Then again let me say to our young men—Take courage; “There is a good time coming.” The darkness of the night appears greatest just before the dawn of day.

Perseverance is a powerful tool for the would-be and the experienced entrepreneur alike.
The first step in building the grit to persevere is to make sure that your objectives are worth your perseverance. It's all a big fat balancing act—what are your relationships, health, and happiness worth anyway? Check? You've got this then.
Just know that however you've got it dialed in, there will be times you want to quit. But resilience isn't about finding heroic mental stamina; it's about taking the next step even though all you want to do is lie on your back and lazily toss and catch a baseball several thousand times (for illustration purposes only; you may or may not have ever done this—it's kind of soothing though, but … where were we?).
To “strive with untiring diligence to remove all obstacles to success” is the answer. Remove all obstacles, one at a time, step by step.
