Sports Equipment
Many sports include items like balls, footballs, pucks, and other
equipment that are passed around by players as they cross the play-
eld to score points. Opposing players try to intercept or otherwise
appropriate the item to bring it back to their side of the playeld.
Since most sports games try to simulate reality realistically, these
items are governed by the natural laws of physics and don’t do any-
thing except move. ey are also separate from the athletes’ uniforms
and any “inventory” on their persons like mitts, bats, and masks. e
