It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

只要是適當的地方，預先把表單欄位填上使用者最有可能會填上的值。
何時使用
你的 UI 會向使用者詢問需要表單輸入的問題（例如透過文字欄位或單選圓鈕），
且你希望減 少使用者的 工作量。或 許大多數的 使用者都用 某種方式回 答；或者使
用者已經提供了足夠的背景資訊，足以讓 UI 做出精確的猜測。對於技術性或不太
重要的問題 ，或許使用 者不太知道 或不在乎它 的答案，覺 得『反正讓 系統決定就
好了』。
但是，提供預設值不見得總是明智的做法，有時候答案可能很敏感或可能引起激烈
的政治反應，例如密碼、性別、公民身分等等。如果針對這些事項做出假設，或預
先填好欄位（用應該先行深思熟慮的資料），可能會讓使用者覺得不舒服，甚至憤
怒。（還有，為了大家好，別將「請寄送廣告電子郵件給我」勾成預先選取！）
