It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

何時使用
當行動介面需要文字欄位時，請考慮採用清除文字的按鈕。它對承載長文字字串的
欄位特別有價值，例如用在搜尋字串、URL 和多行文字上。
為何使用
擦掉長文字 字串時，如 果一次只能 清除一個字 元，不僅速 度很慢，而 且還容易出
錯。別強迫你的使用者這樣做。
有些行動平台沒有剪下、複製與貼上的設備。「剪下」或許即可滿足清除文字的需
求 — 選擇一個文字欄位中的所有內容也有相同效用；但就算裝置附有前述設備，
能點擊一個按鈕就清除欄位，仍然是比較便利的。
原理作法
在文字欄位中放個簡單的「ㄨ」或「Clear」（清除）按鈕。放在文字欄位旁邊也
可以，但最好做一個能用性測試，確定使用者是否注意到這個按鈕 — 大家可能以
為這個按鈕表示「搜尋」。
如果平台已經提供「清除」按鈕、做為文字欄位的內建功能，盡量用別客氣。我看
過使用者很痛苦地清除文字欄位，發生在 Android 早期、還沒提供這個功能的版本
上 — 光是看他們一個字、一個字地清除搜尋欄位就很痛苦了。我也看過 iPhone 上
的程式沒有利用這個標準清除按鈕；這些使用者都十分希望「ㄨ」按鈕能出現在文
字欄位中，看到程式沒提供這個按鈕，當然是很不高興的。
