當你在設計一個以文件為中心的應用程式，或是採用搖攝與縮放（pan-and-zoom）
操作的介面，例如地圖或大型視覺作品。使用者將會掃瞄文件或圖像，尋找值得注
意的東西，像是特定頁碼或者某種地標物。而在使用者捲動畫面的時候，他們可能
不容易記得目前所在的位置，也很難決定接下來要去的地方。

為何使用
雖然使用者在捲動內容時，還是在同一個動作空間中移動，但如果能有路標指示還
是會很有幫助的。在捲動得很快速時，其實很難閱讀飛逝而過的文字（如果螢幕的
更新速度不夠快，甚至根本不可能閱讀），所以需要其他的工具來告知位置。就算
使用者短暫地停下來，他所看到的內容，可能沒有包含能夠讓他識別位置的資訊，
像是標題。
為何挑上捲軸？因為這是使用者會注意到的地方。如果路標搭配捲軸一起使用，使
用者將會在捲動的時候看到路標，並使用路標，而不需要同時注意螢幕上的兩個不
同地方。你可以把路標放得靠近捲軸，效果也一樣；總而言之，
