頁面背景採用圖像或漸層色，使背景看起來位在前景元素的背後。
何時使用
當版面中具有很強的視覺元素（例如文字區塊、控制元件分群、視窗等等），而且
版面並不擁擠稠密時。我們想讓頁面看起來具有特色，能夠吸引人；或許心中已有
一套視覺品牌策略。我們想用比較有趣的東西當做頁面背景，而不是平淡的白色或
灰巴。
為何使用
採用柔焦效果、色彩漸層與其他距離暗示的背景，看起來好像退到遠方，退到銳利
的前景內容的背後。因此內容看似「浮動」在背景前方。這種假性立體的外觀能導
致強烈的「人物 / 地面」效果 — 閱覽者的視線將吸引到內容上。
也可以不管上段文謅謅的原因說明，反正這種方式設計起來就是好看。

背景請具有下列的一或多個特色：
柔焦
讓線條模糊，避免刻劃太多的小細節 — 背景若具有銳利的線條，會妨礙前景
內容的可讀性，特別 在 內容是文字或小圖示 的時候。（如果對比很 低，也可
以勉強使用銳利的線條；但即使如此，文字出現在這樣的背景上面還是不利閱
讀，除非文字與背景間有很強的對比。）
