目；第二個面板上，顯示出第一個面板所選取項目的內容。
何時使用
在需要呈現一份項目清單時。每個項目都有令人感興趣的內容，例如電子郵件訊息
中的文字、一篇長文章、一個完整尺寸的圖像、內含的項目（如果這是一組目錄或
檔案夾清單），或是關於檔案大小或日期的細節。
我們希望使 用者看到清 單的整體架 構，並保持 隨時能看到 清單的狀態 ；但也希望
使用者能夠 輕易而快速 地瀏覽項目 。我們一次 只需要看到 一個項目的 細節或內容
就夠了。
實際上，我們所用的顯示器也大到足以同時顯示兩個不同的面板。非常小的手機顯
示器不太適合這種模式，但有許多較大的行動裝置足以適用。
為何使用
雙面板選擇器，是一個要學習的慣例（learned convention），但是很常見，威力也
很強大。人們很快地學到，必需從一個面板中選擇項目，才能在另一個面板中看到
內容。大家學到這項慣例的地方，可能是電子郵件的用戶端軟體、或是 Wi ndows
Explorer、又或是網站；不管從哪裡學習，這樣的概念被採用到許多類似的程式中。
