The Northern Ball in our basic diamond model is about understanding human behavior. The premise here is that if leaders don’t understand themselves or have an effective model of why people behave the way they do, how could they make good team or organizing decisions? The answer seems obvious to me, yet in my experience, most executives and managers have thought very little about who they are, who would complement their particular personality on a team and about a model of human behavior that includes what we have long known.
