HYDROGEN SULFIDE

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a polar molecule with 18 electrons. The electronic polarizability is 4.21 × 10−40 F m2, the dipole moment is 0.978 D, and the ionization potential is 10.457 eV. The dissociation energy into H–HS fragments is 3.949 eV. The vibrational modes and energies are shown in Table 32.1.
